What’s Up with The SketchUp Essentials Course?!?!

As most of you who’ve been watching my videos know, I’m creating a course designed to be a comprehensive way to learn SketchUp.
Basically, the way I’m looking at the course is that this is the information I would teach if I was teaching a 2-day SketchUp training course, but I’m putting it in an online course that you’ll have indefinite access to. Not only is it cheaper than an in-person training, I can still respond to questions, and it’s going to be a lot cheaper than paying for 2 days of training.

You can check out more information about the course at http://www.thesketchupessentials.com/course.

What’s Going to be Included

Instruction on all of SketchUp’s tools

  • The first part of this course’s training will be focused on teaching you the basics of all the of drawing and modeling tools that come along with SketchUp
  • Focus on understanding how the tools work before we can focus on the process
  • This will go through everything from line tools, etc, to instruction on the view and camera tools, as well as processes for entity based modeling.

More advanced training
Once we get out of the basics, we’ll start talking about more advanced concepts, like:

  • Location based modeling
  • Modeling with extensions
  • Interior design modeling
  • Construction document creation with Layout
  • Introduction to the principles of photorealistic rendering
  • and more!

Basically, the idea is that you could walk in this course a complete beginner, and walk out at the end completely proficient in SketchUp, ready to model basically anything you’d like. The benefit of this course is that it’s a one cost, lifetime purchase, so you can go back and replay any of the courses at any time.

What’s the Cost?

I’m sure the question most of you are asking is this – what’s the cost of the course?

This course is going to be a $249 course – that’s significantly less than what you’d pay for a two day training in real life.

However, what I’m planning on doing is this – this course is on sale for pre-order at 40% off through 2/28, so instead of paying $249, you’re going to pay $149. That’s only through 2/28, at which point, the pre-order discount will go down to 20% off, or $199.

Between 2/28 and 3/14, the course will be available for pre-order at $199.

After 3/14, I will not be offering discounts on this course.

The price will be the price, and as I add material to the course, the cost may actually go up. I will not be discounting this course in the future – there won’t be any Black Friday sales, Christmas Sales, anything like that – so if you’re looking for a discount on this course, the only time you’ll get one is in pre-order.

As a thank you for pre-ordering the course, everyone that purchases will receive free access to my Start to Finish Modeling for Beginners Course ($19 value).

What’s the Schedule?

  • 40% Off Pre-Order Discount through 2/28
  • 20% Off Pre-Order Discount through 3/14
  • Full course access opens 3/14/2018.

How does this affect new tutorials for the next month?

Temporarily, I will be going to 4 videos a week on the SketchUp Essentials instead of 5 to allow me an extra day to work on finalizing the content for the course. This is temporary, and after the course releases, I’ll be getting back to my 5 day a week video posting routine.
